Exploring the local area – Hadleigh

Hadleigh is best known for its castle - Hadleigh Castle which was begun in about 1215 by Hubert de Burghwhich. Today the ruins of the royal castle look out over the Essex marshes. has breathtaking views of the Thames Estuary. 

Hadleigh Farm which is an educational working farm and cross-country cycling venue. In the 2012 Summer Olympics both the men's and women's mountain biking events took place at Hadleigh Farm on 11 and 12 August.
