Gas and electrical assessment and certification to change

The transition from one provider to another will be seamless

It's all change when it comes to utilities assessment and certification. Up until now, CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) has been one of the main providers of gas and electrical training, apprenticeships, awards, assessments and certification.

However, with the recent news that CITB is pulling out of the utilities market, Gas Training and Assessment is delighted to announce that we are now in the process of transitioning our courses to UK Certification Ltd , a UKAS accredited assessment and certification body for the mechanical services industry.

Founded in 2005, UK Certification Ltd offers assessment and certification services for the gas, oil, plumbing, heating and electrical trades. Having been accredited by UKAS to BS17024, you can be assured of the highest levels of quality and competency.

We are proud to soon become an approved UK Certification Ltd centre. With this, we receive support, information, evaluations and user-friendly paperwork – all benefits that we can pass directly on to our end users.

So what does this change mean to you?

When it comes to Gas Training and Assessment's current and future entrants, the transition from one provider to another will be seamless.

Our courses will remain the same and our method of delivery will remain unchanged. Certain logos on our website and documentation will change and issued certificates will look different to the ones you may have received from us in the past, but they will hold the same accreditations and validity.

When is this happening?

We aim to have transitioned our assessment and certification scheme to UK Certification Ltd by the end of January 2017.
